How does Restorative Yoga release stress? The real answer is that all yoga release stress, but in different ways. The deep breathing we practice in yoga helps calm you, lowering blood pressure, decreasing your heart rate, and helps you explore your thoughts and feelings.

Restorative Yoga is an antidote to the harm caused by stress, offering an opportunity to step back and reset the mind and body. A restorative practice offers a reprieve from stress that allows us to reframe our approach toward outside stressors.by practicing at a slow pace, focusing on long holds, stillness, and deep breathing.  In restorative yoga, the goal is to be totally supported by your props and with only passive movements or stretches.
